Founder : Mark Hughes
When he was a teenager, Mark Hughes watched helplessly as his mother's health declined after she tried one unsuccessful diet after another. Tragically, after many unhealthy practices, she died at age 36.
Mark Hughes vowed to commit his life to helping others enhance their health through good nutrition, lose and manage weight effectively and safely. In 1980, he launched Herbalife and skillfully built the company's reputation as a provider of the finest weight-loss, advanced herbal, nutritional and personal care products that makes a real difference in people's lives.
Mark loved people. He loved their stories, their successes, their hopes and dreams. He believed in people who didn't believe in themselves. We never heard him speak ill of anyone. We will move on with his memory in our hearts and minds, but we've lost a rare and wonderful friend, a wonderful leader.
